
Even though there aren’t really any stomach exercises for women only, many women still would like a list of exercises to get a toned, flat stomach specifically for women only. The reason for this is that a lot of women feel like they feel that if they do “guy exercises” they’ll get a guy’s physique – even though it’s simply not true.
Men and Women Have Different Genetics
Men and women have different genetic make ups. They can do the exact same exercises and they will NOT get the same bodies. Women can get hard and toned – but they can’t get bulky like a man. Heck, many MEN have trouble getting bulky – so women definitely don’t have to worry about it.
That Being Said…Here Are 3 Stomach Exercises For Women to Get a Flat, Toned Stomach
That being said, I do know that many women are reading this and still want exercises for them specifically. Even though the exercises I’m going to list are also for men (and I do them too), I am leaving out any kind of weighted ab workouts.
The first and most important exercise is the plank. Here’s a video:
Here’s how to do it:
1. Lay down on your stomach and your elbows.
2. Lift yourself up on your toes and your elbows.
3. Keep your back straight.
4. Hold for 30 seconds to 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Feel the muscles locking in your lower back and stomach.
The second exercise is the side plank. Here’s the video:
The side plank shows up towards the middle of the above video. Here’s how to do it:
1. Lay on your side.
2. Lift yourself up on your feet and elbows.
3. Hold yourself straight, feel the muscles on your side abs being worked.
4. Hold for 30 seconds to 2 and a half minutes.
5. Repeat on other side.
Alternatively, you can do it this way:
1. Lay on your side.
2. Lift yourself on your feet and elbows.
3. Hold yourself straight and move your stomach side to side to stimulate the side ab muscles.
4. Do this for 30 seconds to 2 and a half minutes.
5. Repeat on other side.
The Last Exercise is Specifically for the Lower Abs
The next exercise is a lower ab lift, here’s a video:
How to do it:
1. Lay on your back.
2. Lift your legs off the ground and bring them down without touching the ground.
3. Repeat.
