That explains why so many advertisements claim they can "target belly fat", ranging from ebooks to "ab blasters" to who knows what. With so many misconceptions surrounding this issue, I decided to make a post about how to get rid of belly fat. The Hard Truth. Genetics Really Does Matter When it Comes to "Targeting" Fat" Well, I'm going to have to tell you the hard truth. When it comes to targeting fat in certain areas, genetics really does matter. Why? Because the truth is, you CAN'T target fat in any section. Not belly fat, not lower back fat, not leg fat, none. Now, that doesn't mean you can't burn off all the fat and get into amazing shape. The opposite is true - you absolutely can. But you just can't target which fat you burn first. That will be genetics. There are some people who when they gain fat, it distributes evenly in their body. They can put up to 10 pounds of fat on, and it's hard to even notice. Then there are others who put all their fat in one spot, like the belly. Even a 2 or 3 pound difference in fat is noticeable with this kind of build... You Can STILL Get Rid of Belly Fat, Even With Poor Genetics. But It Means Looking Good Overall - Which is a Good Thing. So does that mean you can't get rid of belly fat if you have "poor genetics"? NO. All it means is that you have to target ALL your fat, and get your body into great shape. It's true, you might not lose your belly fat the first two weeks when you burn the fat - but once your belly fat is the only thing remaining, it will disappear and you'll look JUST as good as the person with good genetics. The only difference is what fat your body decides to burn first. When Getting Rid of Fat, the Main Thing is Consistency... When trying to get rid of belly fat or any kind of fat, the main thing is consistency. If you stick to your diet and workout program, you'll start seeing results before you know it!
