Have You Ever Had a Training Injury? 10 Months ago
In the army, I got a really bad case of knee tendinosis during training which I'm still working on now. The treatment I've been going with is a mixture of prolotherapy and prp, eccentric knee squats, and light stretching of the tendon.

Has anyone else here had a bad injury? If so, what was it, and what did you do to go about treating it?

i just recovered from a twisted ankle from playing soccer. i dint feel any pain until the game was over, once it started to get cold it hurt just moving it a bit. Lucky Me i Have Great Coach and he treated it right away and i had to skip soccer practices for two weeks !!! but i fully recovered
During the time i was out i did some light stretching and yoga -sam

Good thing you took care of it right away. Sometimes small injuries that aren't taken care of can get pretty bad.

yup your absolutely correct. My Brother is a boxer and in a training match he tweaked his left wrist , and kept on with the match he won but he injured his wrist so much that he had to get it operated ... so much for the win

Hey, I'm an avid cricket player and I went away on tour this summer. I managed to seriously stretch one ligament in my right ankle and stretch most of the others around it. Unfortunately I missed out on 3 innings and had to sit around. I couldn't put weight on it for about 2 weeks.

I have to admit I stopped doing any exercise whatsoever, the cricekt tour completely drained my energy and the damaged ankle just added to it.

It's fully recovered now though,so I'm able to continue playing cricket, football (soccer) and normal workouts too.

I had a shoulder injury that was aggravated to a point where I was unable to do any pressing movements. It was brought on one day (probably a long time coming) from overhead pressing.

I treated it by increasing pulling movements and a healthy dose of Graston. If you've never experienced the Graston technique, you should give it a try. You've never hurt so good before!
